FAQ's

Why has EnviroMission altered its strategic direction?

EnviroMission will ensure we lead in all aspects of Solar Tower technology development and that means we will continue to innovate. We will also respond to new opportunities- for example, the creation of the Company’s cornerstone technology asset DOVET, EnviroMissions proprietary “Dynamic Optimization & Verification Engineering Tool”  has allowed EnviroMission to pivot its strategic direction towards reducing the Solar Towers dimensions without impeding on its performance capabilities – a key factor that demonstrates the need for constant evaluation on how best to compliment and drive EnviroMissions deployment ambitions. EnviroMission also recognises the number of secondary revenue opportunities that will inevitably arise through the modelling, testing and augmentation of potential ancillary enhancements.

Does EnviroMission plan on listing the Company?

Yes. We are positioning EnviroMission for a market listing in due course. There are currently a number of options the Company is examining however we believe any listing should be accompanied with a crystalised asset and development base that informs a growing revenue base to support and generate Shareholder ROI.

How many Megawatts can EnviroMissions Solar Towers produce?

Thanks to the Company's proprietary “Dynamic Optimisation Verification Engineering Tool” (DOVET) EnviroMission’s Solar Tower has evolved into a scalable, load following generation facility. It is anticipated that the Solar Tower will be capable of meeting varying demand profiles between 50MW and 350MW for the global energy market.

Do Solar Towers produce water?

Simplistically Yes. Initial estimates suggest water can be harvested from Solar Towers (in certain regions) using a variety of techniques, however, the Company notes that any genuine attempt to harvest water from the Solar Tower can inevitably “cannibalise” our opportunity to maximise the Solar Towers generation capability. The company anticipates that over time water harvesting will be integrated into our proprietary DOVET modelling to optimise the contemplated trade off.

What else can Solar Towers produce?

We have identified several potential revenue streams, from biofuels, tourism, telecoms, to aeroponics and hydroponics and a variety of Agricultural disciplines.

How long will a Solar Tower take to build?

The contemplated construction time to build a 200MW Solar Tower facility is approximately 2 years following the identification of land, appropriate land studies being conducted, FEED and other Pre development work that is required to inform and facilitate a successful development.

Can an Solar Towers operate on a cloudy day?

Solar Towers are designed to operate 365 days a year in all weather including cloudy or wet days – a Solar Tower operates in diffused sunlight.

Radiant heat (not sunshine) from the sun is the critical energy source for Solar Towers. The full solar spectrum, including radiant heat, heats the air under the Collector in the same way the air inside a greenhouse or hothouse is always higher than the ambient external temperature.

It is the temperature difference between the air moving in the collector and the top of the tower, not the absolute temperature, that drives Solar Towers.

Air under the Collector will always have a higher temperature than the ambient external temperature - even on cloudy days. The design of the Collector is tapered towards the central highest point at the base of the Tower where the heated air will pass through turbines (utilising the chimney effect).

What sets Solar Towers apart from other renewable energy technologies?

Optimisation of performance capabilities allows EnviroMission to deploy projects in regions unavailable to other renewable sources.
