The
following mention was on page 9 of the news section of the
Sydney Morning Herald on Thursday 10 February:
'The company
behind a bold plan to build a power-generating solar tower (sic) - touted
as the world's tallest structure - in outback NSW will today sign an
agreement to buy the site. Melbourne-based EnviroMission will buy a
10,000-hectare slice of Tapio Station, 25 kilometres north-east of Mildura,
to build the kilometre-high tower. EnviroMission's executive chairman,
Roger Davey, would not confirm the purchase price, but said it was "more
than $1 million". the mammoth project, worth hundreds of millions of
dollars, will be built by 2008.'
